Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) supports UC Santa Barbara executive leadership and campus-level strategic planning by providing accurate, objective and timely information and analyses to inform decision-making across campus. FP&A serves an advisory role to executive leadership in the administration of campus resources. Key functions include:
- Long range financial planning & analysis
- Debt financing analysis
- Fund management
- Development of cross functional funding models
- Investment income analysis and allocations
- Financial system development and training
Projecting financing and operations is one of the biggest challenges faced by large institutions. It is characterized by uncertain long-term projections, resource management and tapping a wide range of expertise that requires both operational and financial expertise.
