The 2026 University of California Undergraduate Experience Survey (UCUES) will be administered in April – July 2026. UCUES is an official UC survey. It is an opportunity for you to provide honest and confidential feedback about your UCSB experience. It is important that as many of our students complete this survey as possible, because it has the potential to provide valuable feedback to improve our campus.

WHAT IS UCUES?
The University of California Undergraduate Experience Survey (UCUES) is an online survey administered every other Spring quarter at UC Santa Barbara and each of the other undergraduate UC campuses. This survey is a unique tool for better understanding the academic and co-curricular experiences of undergraduates at UC Santa Barbara.
WHAT IS THE SURVEY ABOUT?
The survey asks about being a student at UC Santa Barbara: your academic work, access to classes, your interactions with faculty and peers, and your satisfaction with different aspects of your college experience.
WHO PARTICIPATES?
Join over 60,000 undergraduates across the UC system in participating this year. Over 61,000 UC Santa Barbara students have participated in UCUES since 2006.

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
The survey will be open throughout the remainder of Spring Quarter. Students who complete the survey will be entered into a series of prize drawings featuring five sets of Apple AirPods (4th generation) and three $50 Woodstock’s Pizza gift cards. One winner will be selected every two weeks on Fridays, concluding July 24th, 2026
A collaborative agreement has been established between the Office of Budget & Planning and Associated Students, granting the former permission to incorporate the distinctive Mapache and Storkie artwork into the promotional campaign for the 2026 UCUES survey. For more information on the Mapache and Storkie stickers, please visit the UC Santa Barbara Associated Students webpage at www.as.ucsb.edu/sticker-packs/
AS FOOD BANK CAMPAIGN
For each UCUES submitted between April 20 and May 1, the Division of Student Affairs will contribute $1.00 to the AS Food Bank, up to $1,000. That can feed over 500 students for a week! With your support, we can GROW our program and continue to combat campus-wide food insecurity. For more information on the AS Food Bank, please visit the https://foodbank.as.ucsb.edu/.

JOIN THE UC STUDENT ADVISORY GROUP FOR SYSTEMWIDE SURVEYS!
Are you interested in shaping how student surveys are shared and used across the UC system? Join the UC Student Advisory Group to connect with students from other UC campuses, campus leaders, and staff from the University of California Office of the President (UCOP).
In this group, you’ll learn how the university administers and uses major student surveys, including the UC Undergraduate Student Experience Survey, UC Graduate Student Experience Survey, Undergraduate Cost of Attendance Survey, and Graduate Cost of Attendance Survey. You’ll share your input on how survey results are presented, how data is communicated to students, and ways to increase awareness and participation.
This is a great opportunity to get involved and make your voice heard. Recruitment begins in Summer 2026. Apply here: https://ucsa.org/get-involved/swc-reps/
